Effectiveness of the self-protection program
The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the program which was developed in order to enable students with mental disabilities to acquire skills in the training program for protection against sexual abuse and to maintain their fluency and skills in other environments. Three female students with mental disabilities at the age range of 14- 17 attending a special education and rehabilitation center in Nicosia, was included in the study. In order to evaluate the effectiveness, multipe probe design was used among the single subject research models. Both inter-observer reliability and application reliability data were collected in the study and high reliability results were obtained.
