Integrating indigenous knowledge

This paper introduces the idea of integrating indigenous knowledge in the Philippine Elementary Science Curriculum. It explains the concepts of indigenous knowledge and indigenous science, and identifies indigenous knowledge that can be integrated in the science curriculum. It also presents strategies on how this indigenous knowledge can be integrated to make the science curriculum more relevant and responsive to the needs of learners living in local communities. These strategies are based on the experiences of the local communities that can be adapted and implemented.
